Social Distancing: 5 Ways To Overcome Boredom
If you’re practicing social distancing then you’re the real hero. You’re saving not only yourself but also others by being at home. It’s high time that we all realize the importance of staying at home. If you stay at home then you’re protecting everyone, it’s just that simple. We don’t have proper medications to treat this virus and everyone is at risk of dying, if no proper precautions are taken.
Here’s what you can do to overcome boredom during social distancing:
Now’s the time to read all the books you’ve been wanting to read. Reading will help you in calming down and obviously kill time. When you’re at home and you’ve nothing to do, just grab a good book and you’re good to go. You can also download books and read them but I feel like it’s the time cleanse yourself so limit your screen time. Read books the conventional way and you’ll feel more relaxed and it’ll help you take your mind off of things.
Meditation is another way to calm yourself. You can start meditating to divert your attention. It’s a great way to help you relieve stress too. You can start by meditating for a few minutes to however long you want. Googling ways to meditate will help you in finding out different types of meditation. Social distancing can actually result in cleansing your body from all the negative energy.
You can also cook at home now that you’ve got ample spare time. Ordering in is easy and very convenient but you might want to steer clear of it. You may ask why and the reason is you don’t know how the food is being made. The incubation time for coronavirus is almost two weeks. The symptoms start appearing after a fortnight. Hence, you might want to choose to cook your meals at home. It’ll also keep you busy and get you hot & fresh food at home.
I love art and painting. It’s just very soothing and you get lost when you’re going with the flow. It’s a great way to kill time and also overcome boredom. There’s no rocket science in painting and anyone can do it. You can also involve your kids or siblings and have a fun day at home which engages everyone and reduces screen time.
The coronavirus has affected the whole world but we can’t let it get to us. We need to take all the necessary precautions and beat this virus.
